5 Reasons you will fail with Internet Marketing
Marc
Did I just say you will fail at an online business? Yes I did, unless you recognize the top 5 reasons why people do fail and what you need to do in order to succeed. Let's go backwards and start with the number 5 you won't succeed with a business on the Internet. 5. Full Time Jobs - Most people, myself included, have a full time job. At the end of the day all I want to do is go home, eat some dinner, maybe have a beer, watch TV and relax. Recently, I started to make myself aware of how much time I spent on relaxing and noticed I had a lot of time to work on my site. I realized that with just 30 minutes, I could make an improvement to my site, researched an article, or any number of things to help my business. Be aware of your time and you will reap the benefits later. 4. Impatience - Who doesn't want to start making money right away? We all do, however, you must look at Internet marketing as a marathon. If you sprint, you'll never make it. You must pace yourself and realize that this will take some time. 3. No Start Up Capital - This one is just not going to fly when it comes to marketing online. There are free equivalences to almost everything you'd need to make money online. If you haven't found them yet, keep looking.
reasons people fail: 2. Self Sabotage - I'm guilty of this myself, I will start a project and then move on to another idea before I've really invested myself in the first one. Make a plan and stick with it, because more likely than not, if you jump from project to project you will get burned out fast and think that nothing you've tried even works at all. 1. Fear - Fear is the biggest reason you will fail. Fear comes in many forms so look out for it! Fear can manifest a lack of confidence in yourself. You have to believe that what you're doing will work and keep plugging away at it. Remember, the only time you fail is when you give up. Bonus: 3 More things to look out for when it comes to your business online 1. Kids - Sure kids are great but they can take up a lot of your time, right? Right. But, use your kids to remind yourself that that is what you are working for. Don't focus on how busy (rightfully) you are. Plus, having an online business is great for anybody that has kids and want to stay home to work. Not everybody has that privilege, so keep working on your site to keep the money coming in. 2. Wanting to protect the dream from the reality - Does ditching your job, staying at home, sleeping in, watching TV, etc. sound like a dream job to you? Of course it does (well it does to me); that's why it's considered a "dream". Sorry to burst your bubble, but working on anything online is going to take time, and work. It's not easy, but it's not hard either. You can do it, anybody can, yet most won't. They'll live the dream in their head and be happy without failing to get it. Don't fall into this mindset, get out there and do it. 3. Instantly spending profits - So you're making money now? Great, time to go get that TV/Computer/Car you've had your eye on. Wrong. Put some of that money back into your business. Pay for some banner ads, get a ghostwriter to write that book you want to sell, make a video. Turn some of that money back towards your business and you'll reap even more profits down the road.
