Driving Traffic With Social Media

Here are a few things to keep you busy on social networking.

MySpace: Get as many friends as possible to sign up. You can offer a free newsletter to anyone who wants to be a friend to get as many as possible. Forget any hyper-text links on your profile, as they will be redirected to a default MySpace page. The blog is powerful in that it gets a high search engine placement. I recieved 930 views of my blog in 2 months with only 100 friends. You can send bulletins when you put out a new blog. The blog can hold very complex HTML codes so you can put ads, sales pages (including cart button code), videos or opt in forms in the blog. The bulletins hold the same codes as well. Also, join groups relevant to your field. www.myspace.com

Squidoo: A very powerful search engine placement tool. Visit: http://www.squidoo.com/diamondgirl to see how pics, videos, hyper-text links, blog searches, product ads, and networking can work to drive traffic to your site. This lens has ranked between #1 and #4 on Google since July 07 for 90 different keywords on 30 different search engines. This lens gets 600-800 visitors a week, makes alot of money and drives those visitors to my main site. The modules will support KickStartCart button codes, but not the opt in code. Use hyper-text links to drive traffic to a sign up page, but sell your products directly on your squidoo lens. I have 50 different lenses driving traffic to my site. The lenses are broken down into keywords and sub keywords to grab Google positioning. You can add 40 tags ( keywords ) to your lens for great results. Join as many groups as possible. It takes about 2 seconds to join a group. Also, leave as many comments as you can at other lenses with a link back to your lens or site. There is no blog but you can add articles to your lens or build a whole lens just about the article subject. Squidoo also offers an RSS feed to alert subscribers to new material you publish called a SquidCast. www.squidoo.com

Facebook: I have only 3 accounts, but by piggybacking off of Tom's friends list, I made 30 friends in one day. You can send invites to events and promote your products and services to all your contacts. The friends here take networking seriously and are of better quality than on myspace. There is no blog and no real way to add articles or codes, but ranks very high on Google for things like your name or the name of your business. You can add videos to your profile and send "events" to invite every one of your friends that goes to their inbox. www.facebook.com

YouTube: Put your URL on the video as a watermark. Add keywords to your tags ( 6-8 will do ) and add hyper-text links to your main site from your profile. Leave comments on other peoples high view videos to piggyback traffic to your site. Use the embed code provided by YouTube to easily add the video to your myspace, squidoo, facebook, BLOGS, and your main site and side door pages. Show your books, Cd's, or any products right on the videos and push sales like a commercial. Make as many vids as possible covering every subject in your business and title the videos with keyword phrases obtainable from http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com. This is the most powerful Google positioning strategy this season and we don't know how long it will last. Feel free to submit the same video over and over with a different title, description and tags each time. Also, submit your videos to all the free video hosting sites. There are about 30 good ones including:

www.revver.com
www.video.google.com
www.video.yahoo.com
www.vidilife.com
www.putfile.com
www.megavideo.com
www.flurl.com

Happy marketing!
